Original Varèse Sarabande Japan-for-U.S. CD issue of material originally released by them as part of two previous LP configurations (VCDM 1000.150 in its entirety for the Rodrigo pieces, and 704.110 in part for the Falla piece!), all featuring Soundstream digital recordings from 1980-81, recorded by the Orquesta Sinfonica Del Estado De Mexico and featured soloists under the baton of Enrique Batiz. The packaging features an eight-page booklet with track listings, uncredited liner notes about the featured selections and composers, and movement titles and text for "El Amor Brujo" in both Spanish and English on the interior pages; and color front and back covers, which reproduces the LP cover from VCDM 100.150, while adding text concerning the additional work from 704.110, on the former, and continues with uncredited liner notes about the conductor and soloists on the latter. (The name of soloist Cecilia López is misspelled on the inlay card, but is spelled correctly on the cover; and the full title is listed on the back of the inlay card, but is abbreviated on the spine to "Rodrigo: Guitar Concertos; Falla: El Amor Brujo," most likely for space considerations!)
