Notes

Variation: Metallic Silver print on front cover, red print on back cover.
Liner notes on back of sleeve are for three different records, XXXIII, XXXIV and XXXV, though cover only indicates XXXIV.
Runouts have small symbol which looks like a broken eggshell stamped in them.
Titles are listed as they appear on the center labels.
Track A1-A3 are referenced in liner notes on back cover as
"Huldigungsmarsch", "Festmarsch zur Säkulaerfeir von 100st Geburtstag Goethes" and "Künstlerfestug zu Schillerfeiler" - 1859, respectively.

The cover art for this series was highly variable, ranging from blank white sleeves, blank sleeves with photocopied drawings of Liszt pasted on, b&w portraits of Liszt pasted on (sometimes printed notes or a biography would be pasted on the back of these copies, instead of printed directly on jacket), blank covers with pasted on photo portrait of Gunnar Johansen, actual printed covers with text in silver ink, actual printed covers with text in blank ink, both with tracklistings on back, back cover notes sometimes printed in silver, black or red ink, blank covers signed by Gunnar Johansen, and possibly others. Sometimes these records are accompanied with a one or two page insert, which were highly variable, as well.

Please Note that according to the official website for Gunnar Johansen, "Gunnar Johansen's titles are occasionally different from place to place and from published sources. There are also typographical errors. When works were reissued on cassette titles were occasionally different. There is no consistency in language usage, as for instance the great set of etudes are referred to in English (see Album 4).

The titles (on the website) then, are a mixture of the titles from the LPs and cassettes, corrected where required and compared with the published catalogs. It should be noted that elements of house style found in those external sources (capitals, etc.) are somewhat unusual and may not please all...

... The goal can only be to provide a sufficiently clear title (and date) so that utter confusion is avoided. Thus the reader can be assumed to recognise that:

Fantasy & Fugue on "Ad nos ad salutarem undam" (Meyerbeer as arranged by Busoni)

is this work that might be more officially identified say as:

Fantasie und Fuge über den Choral ‘Ad nos, ad salutarem undam’ [from Meyerbeer: Le prophète].

Some dates given on the recordings are incorrect and have been removed and not corrected, since they might cause further confusion."
