Special limited edition to tie in with meet'n'greet by John Rhys, the Brit who became part of the 1960's Detroit Soul recording world, at the Northern Soul Survivors Northern Soul Weekender. Copies are signed by John.
Record contains on the A side Tobi Legend's much loved "3 Before 8" classic, and on the flip the original 1965 demo by John, Dino Fekaris and Nick Zesses, plus goose bump inducting spoken intro by John talking about the making of the song, years before Tobi Lark recorded it. Incredibly neither Tobi or John knew for years that the record had been released. A lovely instant collectors piece from John, the original British Young Soul Rebel.
(He also has a great story about recording Kenny Gamble's "Ain't It Baby" at Golden World and having the tapes grabbed and destroyed by "goons" out to stop the Funk Brothers moonlighting from Motown. Luckily John had done a safety copy. But that's for another time...)
