Notes
The piece is a part of the “Maps of non-existent cities” cycle of pieces of different instrumental combinations. It is an attempt to create inner geography and topography, internal outside world. We all have our unique relations with the outer world. In a way we create or construct it in accordance with our personal expectations and preferences. I always believed the process of perception is similar to that of peering into the darkness – while your eyes get accustomed to the darkness, objects’ shapes appear in space. And you never know if these new-born objects are real or imaginary. The graphical score of the piece puts musicians in the situation of wandering, navigating from one sound object to another one, from one page to another, creating the unique trajectory throughout the material.
