The RéR Quarterly is a sound magazine, featuring commissioned pieces, projects, live recordings, found sounds from all over the world. Plus 64+ page A4 magazine with theoretical and practical articles, texts, artworks, provocations.
: recorded somewhere in Acton in 1987 (about ten years after the original instrumental from Charlie Haden's Chairman Mao from the LP 'Old and New Dreams')
: This track consists of 2 different live recordings of the same piece edited together; first half is from a concert in Milano 12/12/1986, the second from a live performance in Pantigilante, near Milano, 29/05/1987.
: the original sounds were taken from a 1959 recording by Le Choeur des Moniales Benedictines du Precieux-Sang from Mt. Laurier, Quebec. The recording was called 'Polyphonie Gregorienne' and Christi Crucifixi Ultima Verba was one of the songs on the LP.
: Recorded Jan. 30, 1988 at Rotary Totem, Los Angeles.
: Recorded at 'the forest' (Skog Skattegard, Sturefors, Sweden) in July 1987.
: Completed 1987.
: All done in December 1987 at mumble-mumble studios pic.
: Produced for BBC 1's Saturday live show. Released by arrangement with BBC enterprise Ltd. (p) BBC 1987. As the programme title indicates, this was a live improvised performance.
: Recorded February 1986 at the Frigo Palace.
: Recorded in Milano. The sounds of missiles are taken from television news (Beirut reportage). While Giovanni tries to play the electric guitar, Roberto massacres his solos with a ring modulator.
: Recorded in Luciano's bedroom, April 1987. Remixed and edited in the Kitchen, December 1987.
: Recorded live for KUSC-FM radio at a concert presented by the independent Composers Association on March 10, 1987 at the Japan America Theatre, Los Angeles.
: Recorded at Cluster Studio, Oslo
, 19, 20 : composed and arranged by Jean Derome as part of the soundtrack to "Paul Strand, Under the Dark Cloth", a film by John Walker. Recorded September 1988 at the National Film Board of Canada.
