Personal notes from the artist in reference to the release: "This album was recorded when I returned from Los Angeles in 2009 and all I had was an 8 track cassette recorder and some pedals and my guitar. This was the result.

This recording is free, but you can pay something if you wish.

When I returned from Los Angeles in 2009 to Vancouver, I had no equipment at all at my house. I ended up buying some guitar pedals and an 8 track cassette recorder and decided to fill up one side of a cassette. The tape ran at double speed in the machine so what you end up with here is about a 20 minute continuous composition, complete with tape hiss, sloppy pause edits, and other idiosyncratic mistakes. However, it may be pleasing to some to just put this on and kind of drift away......"
