These sessions were done in pairs, first an evening session begun by inscribing on piano the soundthoughts manifesting unanalyzed, uncomposed, continuing by listening to repeated playbacks, and second a session first thing next morning understood as a 'commentary' on the previous evening's 'text' but pursued the same way, without analytic of compositional intervention with respect to the sound at any point. The first four pairs were done during January and February 1985; other pairs were done July 1987 and August 1988.
