Only a few hundred of these were made. The songs were chosen by Kliph Spurlock, the Flaming Lips' drummer.

This CD was given away during the South by South West (SXSW) film and music festival on March 13, 2005 — during the premiere of the documentary "The Fearless Freaks" by Bradley Beesley.

The brief excerpt leading into "Shine On Sweet Jesus" is The Lips doing a convincing cover of "Every Christian Lion-Hearted Man Will Show You" by the Bee Gees.

"Excerpt" is misspelled as "Exerpt" in the title of track 8 on the sleeve.

On the CD, it says "KLIPHEAD" in subtly hidden black lettering over an image of a man's face with a microphone and microphone clip next to it.
