Label variation. Both labels feature the head shot of James Brown, but the layout and used fonts are completely different; see and compare images with this and this US 'head shot' version.

The STERLING name is stamped in the deadwax; all other etchings are done by hand. The "RL" in the deadwax refers to mastering engineer Bob Ludwig. There are, however, two more etchings next to the "RL"; those are "PR" and a squiggle that looks like nicely etched D or S (side 1) and a straight up D (side 2). The "PR" refers to the Presswell pressing plant; details courtesy of Discogs member mossinterest.
