Onwards was recorded in a relatively quick manner: most of the tracks were recorded in short 2-3 hour sessions, with the final adjustments made in early April as the shape of an EP came together.

I had written and recorded a number of tracks in the latter half of 2016 for the ill-fated Imaginary Nightlife project, and although I was disappointed that the project had not had the engagement from people as I'd hoped, I felt on a creative roll and recorded whenever i could.

The break over new year 16/17 was particularly fruitful. Many Paths, Onwards, and two atmospheric ballads Remains and Like A Slow Burn came together over this period.

The remainder of the tracks appeared around March in quick succession, and finally I spent some time tidying up and recording some overdubs.

Hopefully this collection - including the Imaginary Nightlife tracks - will soothe, motivate and entertain in equal measures.
