Previously issued on Pacific Jazz ST-20112.

The LP version of Don Ellis "Live At Monterey" contained a version of "Concerto For Trumpet" that was actually recorded at the "Pacific Jazz Festival" in Costa Mesa, California a month later. The Monterey version of "Concerto For Trumpet" must not have been up to Don Ellis' standards, and he and producer Richard Bock substituted the Costa Mesa performance in place of the rejected Monterey performance. The 'Monterey version' of "Concerto For Trumpet" will not be issued.
