These selections remained in the Victor catalog for nearly twenty years.
Side A (Mx. B-4136, take 1) was recorded December 13, 1906 and was originally released on a single-sided record, Victor 660.
Side B (Mx. B-4141, take 2) was recorded January 25, 1907 and was originally released on a single-sided record, Victor 662.
The two selections were coupled and released on Victor 16068 on October 20, 1908 on discs bearing the Victor "Patents" style label. Both selections were re-recorded by Cal Stewart in 1919. Side A (Mx. B-4136, take 4) was recorded on July 31, 1919 and Side B (Mx. B-4141, take 3) was recorded on August 1, 1919. These new recordings replaced the originals on issues released between 1919-1927. Take numbers are embossed in the runout at the 9 o'clock position next to the label.
This release, on Victor "batwing" label dates to between 1919-1923.
